Following the unveiling of SKY, Royal Huisman introduces an extraordinary opportunity for a visionary owner: an 81m / 264ft pedigree sailing yacht designed to redefine performance, scale, and luxury. With naval architecture and exterior styling by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and interiors by Winch Design, SKY represents the ultimate expression of personal freedom at sea.
With the majority of design and engineering already completed, SKY is ready to build, dramatically reducing the typical six-plus-year timeline for a custom superyacht. Targeted for delivery in Spring 2030, this project allows owners to move from ambition to ownership faster, without compromising on customization or excellence. Full project details are available here: https://www.royalhuisman.com/en/sky-the-world-s-tallest-sloop-is-ready-to-build/](https://www.royalhuisman.com/en/sky-the-world-s-tallest-sloop-is-ready-to-build/
SKY is set to become the world’s tallest sloop, featuring a groundbreaking carbon rig by Rondal with an air draft of 93m / 305ft—comparable to the height of the Statue of Liberty. This record-breaking mast will surpass the current tallest sloop, making it a defining feature both under sail and at anchor.
Designed for global cruising with exceptional sailing performance, SKY combines a long waterline, lift keel, and full aluminum construction optimized for weight distribution. Paired with her powerful rig, she delivers speeds faster than the wind and outperforms similar-length motoryachts. Despite her size, advanced sailing systems and twin carbon composite rudders ensure easy handling comparable to yachts under 50m.
Her expansive deck layout enhances both functionality and lifestyle. The flybridge offers panoramic visibility and shaded comfort, while multiple seating areas create seamless indoor-outdoor living. After, the beach deck with extendible swim platform, folding bulwarks, and a full-beam lazarette provides an unmatched connection to the water—perfect for relaxation, entertaining, and adventure.
Building on the successful collaboration between Royal Huisman and Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, SKY follows the award-winning 60m performance sloop Sarissa, further advancing innovation and excellence in the sailing superyacht sector.
Below deck, SKY is engineered for both luxury and capability. She accommodates a 12m / 39ft tender, rescue tender, water scooters, seabobs, kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, and a full scuba diving setup—eliminating the need for a separate support vessel and enhancing long-distance cruising independence.
The interior concept by Winch Design is inspired by nature, creating an architectural sanctuary at sea. Designed to host 10–12 guests, the spaces feature sculptural lines, natural textures, and calm luxury aesthetics. Large hull windows flood interiors with natural light, while seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor areas strengthen the connection to the sea.
The full-beam owner’s stateroom is a standout feature, offering direct access to the expansive aft beach deck. Additional onboard highlights include a midship wellness spa and a dedicated watersports center, ensuring a perfect balance of relaxation and activity.
SKY represents the next evolution of performance sailing yachts—blending cutting-edge engineering, bold design, and refined luxury. This project sets a new benchmark for scale, innovation, and the pure joy of sailing.
