LG Electronics has teamed up once again with nine-time Grammy-winning artist will.i.am to introduce the latest additions to its xboom audio lineup — the new Buds Plus and Buds Lite.
The LG xboom Buds Plus, designed as the most advanced model in the series, deliver premium sound quality combined with intuitive usability. Priced at $179.99, they are available now on LG.com and through authorized retailers. Meanwhile, the more affordable LG xboom Buds Lite, priced at $69.99, offer impressive battery life and essential features, making them a strong option for everyday listening.
Both models have been expertly tuned and approved by will.i.am, known for his deep involvement in music and technology. His signature sound style—featuring balanced, warm tones—helps shape the listening experience across the xboom Buds lineup. As the “experiential architect” behind the “xboom by will.i.am” brand, he recently showcased the new products at the FYI Visionaries event.
The Buds Plus stand out with a range of advanced features. Their UVnano+ charging case uses UV-C light to help reduce bacteria on the earbuds, offering a more hygienic listening experience. Equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), they effectively block out external noise for immersive audio. Users can enjoy up to 30 hours of total playback, including 10 hours from the earbuds and an additional 20 hours via the charging case. Features like 3D Spatial Audio, multi-point connectivity, IPX4 water resistance, and customizable EQ settings further enhance usability. A built-in Bluetooth transmitter also allows wireless listening even with traditionally wired devices, such as in-flight entertainment systems.
On the other hand, the Buds Lite focus on portability without compromising performance. With a compact and lightweight design, they offer up to 35 hours of total playtime, including 11.5 hours from the earbuds and 23.5 hours from the case.
